EMERGENCY VOLUNTEER EVENT!
HELP!!!
Emergency conservation day on Friday 16th July, 9.30am - 12.30pm, in order to get to the 'root' of the problem of Himalayan Balsam at Castle Neroche!
Following our successful pull on 2nd July, we are going to repeat the processes so that we catch the 'second flush' of balsam. The ground is sloping, but mostly dry. We are pulling the balsam by hand, but it comes out very easily.
We'd REALLY appreciate your help controlling this weed before it takes a stronger hold on this historic site.
Wear old clothes, and wellies or stout boots. Gloves for large hands are provided, but bring your own if you have them.
