Taking part
Neroche Conservation Volunteers - August

August's Task - Blackthorn and Ragwort Removal- We need some careful blackthorn scrub removal at Keepers Field - a haven for butterflies. The aim is to keep a resource of young suckering plants for the Brown Hairstreak butterfly to lay its eggs on – and yet prevent the blackthorn over-running the grassland.
Also, some removal of ragwort is needed in nearby Wych Lodge Woods.

The Neroche Conservation Volunteers are a group who meet on the second Wednesday of each month and are really keen to welcome new members.
You can help as often or as little as you like and all you need is enthusiasm and some sensible clothing – any training needed will be given on the day. Hot drinks will be provided, but bring a packed lunch and bottled water.
