INTRODUCTION TO THE BHWA

The Blackdown Hills have many hundreds of acres of mixed woodland, producing timber for the building trade, fuel for heating, pulp for paper and chipboard, and materials for craftsmen.

The Blackdown Hills Woodland Association exists to support all those involved in the woodland and timber industries in the Blackdown Hills.  Advantages of joining the BHWA include:

  • Opportunity to advertise on this website
  • Invitations to talks and demonstration events
  • Social events
  • Collective promotion of our industry
  • Linking those who use wood with those who produce it
  • Development of training and advice
