'Revealing the Landscape'

The Neroche Scheme has commissioned a diverse range of artists to make work in relation to the Neroche landscape - sculpture, storytelling, music, public art, websites and blogs, wood carving and visual art are all part of what is being produced over the coming months, to reveal some of the wonderful places and hidden secrets of the Neroche area.

Michael Fairfax, the Neroche Lead Artist, is exploring different sites and looking at ways of reflecting the nature of these sites through natural sculpture and photography.

Musician Fiona Barrow and storyteller Jane Flood are working with local people to explore the history and folklore of the landscape through music and story. Their work this year includes a series of performances and workshops leading up to the culmination of their work in November...Punkie Night!

Sue Palmer is working to produce an interactive website that explores some of the things passing through the Neroche landscape, mapping the transient movements of seeds, weather, people, migratory species, water. Follow the collecting process through Sue's Blog and YouTube  sites.

Jane Mowat is carving two pieces from a fallen oak tree near Mount Fancy. One piece will remain on site for people to enjoy as they walk pass and the other, carved from wood from the same tree, will be displayed in public locations within the Neroche area.
